Stephen “Steve” J. Hunjadi, 68, found peace on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on February 29, 1948 to the late Steve and Elizabeth (nee Simonich) Hunjadi in Milwaukee, WI. He grew up attending high school in Milwaukee and had a love for classic cars. On October 8, 1966 he was united in marriage to Elana Lynn Junco in Milwaukee. Steve worked for the railroad his entire life, when he started at a young age he worked in the locomotive yard for the Milwaukee Road and he worked his way up throughout the years until he retired as a Locomotive Fleet Manager. He was very handy with various projects around the house and preferred the "Do it Yourself" fixes and home improvements. He loved to collect antiques as well as had a love for history. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Those Steve leave behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Elana; two daughters, Dawn (Joe) Rivera and Stacy (Nick Kluka) Hunjadi; two grandchildren, Jordan and Brandon Rivera; brother, Richard “Dick” (Carol) Hunjadi, two Nephews Donald "Don" and Blake (Wendy) Hunjadi; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
A special thank you to Dr. Mian, Kathleen Hanson, and Lynn Koblewski for all their help and care. Their care helped more than you could ever know and meant a lot to us.
Memorials to the family are appreciated.
