Steven J. Wollner, age 68, of West Bend, was granted eternal rest on Saturday, March 28, 2015.
Steve, known to close friends as Slycke, was born on December 28, 1946 in West Bend to Clayton and Catherine (Groessel) Wollner.
Steve was born and raised in West Bend. He attended Holy Angels grade school and later graduated from West Bend High School. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh to study art and later channeled his artistic ability by pursuing his career in stamped concrete. His stamped concrete left a lasting impression throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Steve's hard work was very apparent by his accomplishments as a single parent. In addition to his three children, Steve's joys in life included gardening, landscaping, and all things music. Steve's later life was further enriched with the presence of his three beautiful granddaughters. His passion for life was apparent through the nature of excitement he had when he conversed with others. Steve Wollner will not only be greatly missed but always remembered.
Steve is survived by his mother, Catherine Wollner of West Bend; three children, Brooke Wollner of West Bend, Michael (Danni Marie) Wollner of West Bend, and Clayton Wollner of West Bend; three grandchildren, Lilly, Jolene, and May Belle Wollner of West Bend; a sister, Catherine Noyes of West Bend; and many other relatives and close friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Wollner; and his brother, Mark Wollner.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 11:30 am, at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St. West Bend). Rev. Nathan Reesman will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 am until the memorial service at 11:30 am.
