Steven L. “Steve” Harter, age 73 years, of Adell was called home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan County.
Steve was born on July 6, 1949 in Sheboygan to Reuben and Alice Harter (Fredrich).
Steve graduated from Random Lake High School in 1967. He graduated from UW-Platteville in 1971 earning his Bachelor Degree in Business. Over the years, Steve worked in the construction trades, in sales, and his last employment was was at Napa Auto Parts in Random Lake. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing.
Steve was an Elder and very involved member of Immanuel Lutheran Church – Town of Scott. He was active with the Adell Athletic Association oftentimes frying hamburgers on Friday nights.
Steve is survived by his brother, Gale (Mary Jane) Harter; nieces, Stephanie (Matthew) Huff, Rachel (Dan) Mayer, and Rebecca (Adam) Schneider; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Stella and Henry Huff, Brynn and Camdyn Mayer, and Maya, Keagen, and Amelia Schneider; and devoted friend, Randy (Debbie) Schladweiler. He is further survived by cousins, as well as other relatives and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Alice Harter; uncles and aunts, Alton (Florence) Harter, Marlin (Evangeline “Vannie”) Harter, Laverne (Fredrick) Kleinke, Clarence (Helen) Fredrich, Gordon (Ruth) Fredrich; and cousins, Ronald Harter, Kenneth Harter, Jeannette Meunier, Audrey Fredrich, Carol Babicky, Alvin Giese, Rick Giese, and other cousins.
A Funeral Service be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 5:00 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church – Town of Scott (W8497 Brazelton Dr. – Random Lake) with Pastor Brian Krueger officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at Church from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Interment will be at the church cemetery following the service.
