Susan R. Spoerl, 57, of Kewaskum, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 14, 2014, at her home.
She was born on November 25, 1956, in West Bend, the daughter of the late Elroy and Eleanor (Prahl) Kluever, and on June 4, 1977, she was united in marriage to Steven Spoerl at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum.
Susan was employed by Serigraph in West Bend for 32 years and was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum and the Kewaskum High School Booster Club. She operated an in-home day care center and enjoyed caring for the children and was a dedicated mom who followed all of Matthew's sporting activities. She will be deeply missed by her husband and son, her family and by all who knew her.
Those Susan leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Steven; her son, Matthew at home; two sisters, Sharon Seltrecht of Sheboygan and Carol Kluever of Green Bay; two brothers-in-law, Larry (Mary Elizabeth) Spoerl of West Bend and Robert (Joanne) Spoerl of Campbellsport; two goddaughters, Beverly Martel and Rachel Proeber; a godson, Cory Stern, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Fred and Viola Spoerl; a brother-in-law, Cliff Seltrecht and two nephews, Bobby Lee Seltrecht and Ashton Seltrecht.
Funeral services for Susan were held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. Rev. Russell Knoth officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Friday in the church cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Susan's arrangements.
