Suzanne A. Bastian

Suzanne A. Bastian, (nee Gillmann) age 68, of West Bend, passed away Saturday June 2, 2007 at Kathy Hospice, West Bend.

She was born on October 9, 1938 in Milwaukee to the late Robert and Marie (nee Rogers) Gillmann, and was united in marriage to Harvey C. Bastian Jr. on July 6, 1956 in Milwaukee.

They made their home in Milwaukee for a couple of years before moving to West Bend, and later on Green Lake in 1976. Suzanne worked at the Serigraph Company for 27 years until her retirement in 2004. He husband Harvey preceded her in death in November of 1990.

Suzanne was an active member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, and the Red Hatters. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren enjoy the lake. She also enjoyed playing cards, crosswords, puzzles, bingo, and traveling to other countries.

She is survived by six children, Cindy (James) Bernal of West Bend, Sandi Harlan of Fond du Lac, Jeff (Vicky) Bastian of Jackson, Robert (Dawn) Bastian of Kewaskum, Debbie (Brian) Ruplinger of Kimberly, and Dan (Krissy) Bastian of Campbellsport; 15 grandchildren, Sara (Eric) Essinger, Nicole, Brittany, and Amber Bernal, Jacob & Megan Harlan, Tylor & Katie Bastian, Briana & Kayla Bastian, Nate, Hailey, and Eli Ruplinger, Jessie & Nicholas Bastian; three great-grandchildren, Delia, Gabriel, and Ezekiel Essinger; three sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Marvin) Wiesner of Campbellsport, Gloria Monday of Minnesota, and Donna (Edward) Dahlinger of Campbellsport; two brothers-in-law, Curtis (Janet) Bastian, and Kenneth (Bernice)Bastian, both of West Bend, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Spinhardy; her father & mother-in-law, Harvey and Erna Bastian Sr.; and a sister-in-law, Lois Bastian.

Funeral services for Suzanne will be held on Wednesday June 6th at 10:00 am at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Rev. Robert Hoehner will officiate and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service.
