Suzanne "Sue" Kay (Eastman) Walter

Suzanne “Sue” Kay Walter (nee Eastman), age 76 of West Bend, entered Eternal Life in the presence of her loving family gathered around her on June 19, 2023.

She was born on April 4, 1947, in Monroe, Wisconsin, the only daughter of the late Clifford and Ann (nee Orlicky) Eastman. Sue attended high school in Waterford, Wisconsin, and subsequently went on to Marquette University to obtain her Master’s Degree in Speech. Sue worked at Milwaukee Area Technical College for nearly 30 years.

Within that time, Sue was united in marriage to her loving husband David Walter on August 12, 1972, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls. Last August, Sue and Dave celebrated 50 years of marriage with a polka party in their backyard.

In Sue’s free time, she found joy in the serenity of driving in the country; as well as the tranquility of hiking on some of Wisconsin’s great trails. Sue loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing Scrabble with Dave.

Sue and David were blessed with two sons, whom she leaves behind to cherish her memory: Paul (Bridget) Walter of West Bend, and Mark (Caitlin) Walter of Shorewood. Sue has four grandchildren whom she loved so dearly: Abby, Joel, Grant, and Harvey. She will further be remembered by her brother, Gary (Ann) Eastman.

VISITATION: A time of visitation to celebrate Sue’s life will be on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (N88W17658 Christman Rd., Menomonee Falls) from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: The mass will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Sue’s final resting place will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Menomonee Falls. Following the burial, a luncheon will be provided in the Good Shepherd church hall.
