Thomas P. Schuppie, 74, of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, December 02, 2015, at Samaritan Health Center in West Bend with his family at his side after a long battle with Spinocerebellar Ataxia.
Tom was born on July 02, 1941, the son of the late Philip and Lorraine (nee Lambrecht) Schuppie. On May 16, 1964, he was united in marriage to Donna Schwarzl at Garden Homes Ev. Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Tom was a long time employee of A.O. Smith in Milwaukee. He enjoyed working on cars as well as driving them. Tom and Donna enjoyed spending their free time riding their motorcycle and took many trips with friends. In his retirement Tom enjoyed wood working and making projects for his family.
Those Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 51 years Donna; two children, Kristin (David) Schauer of Pewaukee and Jeff (Jennifer) Schuppie of Richfield; five grandchildren, Elizabeth “Libby” and Margaret “Maggie” Schauer and Jack, Grace and Matthew Schuppie; a sister, Carol Kramer of Palm Desert, California; a brother-in-law, John “Corky” (Amy) Schwarzl of Slinger, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, John and Dorothy Schwarzl; a brother-in-law, Earl Kramer and a special canine companion, Jett.
A Memorial Visitation for Tom will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials left to the family are appreciated and will be used for a memorial in Tom’s memory.
