Thomas "Tom" Andrew Walker

Thomas “Mobile Tom” Andrew Walker, age 75 years, of West Bend unexpectedly passed away on December 22, 2023, at his home.

Tom was born on February 3, 1948, in Milwaukee to Donald and Elizabeth Walker (Schall).  The family moved to West Bend in 1956 and Tom attended St. Mary’s School in Barton.  He was an Eagle Scout and on the West Bend High School Swimming Team, where he took 2nd place in state 2 years in a row.  Tom graduated from West Bend High School in 1966.

He was united in marriage to Sharon Wade on June 19, 1971, at Immaculate Conception of Mary in Barton.  Tom loved camping, ice skating, bike riding, and traveling with Sharon.  He also enjoyed motorcycles and old cars.  Tom and Sharon were happily married for 36 years.  Sharon passed away on February 1, 2008.

Early on Tom was the Regional Manager of Supervalu, and later a meat processor at Don Depperts.  He was a survivor of the 1981 West Bend Tornado that ripped through Barton.  Always strong and adaptable, Tom only had one eye, yet he drove for a living delivering parts for the trucking industry for 35 years, and six months after retirement he became an amputee.  He quickly learned to walk with a prosthetic leg.  He will be greatly missed by all, a man of integrity, honor, and RESPECT!  Always will be missed!

Those Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory include his three sons, Andrew Thomas (Jenny) Walker, Ryan Patrick Walker, and Christopher Michael (Becca) Walker; six grandchildren, Cassandra, Jasmine, Ethan, Elizabeth, Amelya, and Zaydyn Walker; two sisters, Mary Jane (John) Jaeger and Susie (Curtis) Bobholtz.   He is further survived by Bobbie Walker, Kathleen Walker, Tim Grenier, Carine Family, Bobholtz Family, Zell Family, Hurt Family, Kyle and Jodi Knoblauch Family, Boudry Family, Mark Peters Family, Dionne Family and countless other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; brother, David Walker; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mildred (Herman) Wade.

VISITATION:  Tom’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service – 1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI  53095.

SERVICE:  A Memorial Service in remembrance of Tom will take place at the funeral home on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
