Tim Marquardt

April 6, 1964 — June 27, 2012

Timothy A. Marquardt, age 48, of Batavia, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.

Tim was born on April 6, 1964 to Robert and Jean (nee Milward) Marquardt in Milwaukee. Following high school Tim enlisted in the Air National Guard and served as a Master Sargent at the 128th Air Refueling Wing in Milwaukee where he was an aircraft mechanic for the past 30 years. On September 15, 1984 Tim was united in marriage to Lynda Philipp in Milwaukee and together they raised two sons.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. His passion for hunting eventually led him to become a hunter safety instructor. He lived to help people and was always willing to lend a hand. In 2000 Tim joined the Batavia Fire Department where he served as a first responder. He loved riding motor cycles with his wife and son, and was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. Tim will be remembered as a real people person who could talk to anyone and loved to entertain them.

Tim is survived by his wife, Lynda Marquardt of Batavia; his son, T.J. (significant other Stephanie Porath) Marquardt of Batavia; his parents, Robert and Jean Marquardt of Brown Deer; his sister, Shirley Taylor of Denver, Colorado; his four brothers, Robert A. Marquardt of Merton, Bill (Karen) Marquardt of Los Vegas, Steve (Linda) Marquardt of Menomonee Falls, and Jim Marquardt of Kenosha; and many other close relatives and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his son Kyle Marquardt.

Funeral Services in honor of Tim will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 5:00 pm at Zion United Methodist Church (N1667 Hwy 28 Adell, WI 53001) with Rev. Gail Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 12:00 pm until 4:45 pm.

Memorials to the organization 4 Those Left Behind And Broken Dreams (P.O. Box 124 Stockbridge, WI 53088-0124) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
