Travis S. Trapp, 16, of Cascade, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, with his best friend, Brent Schultz, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born on August 3, 1997, in West Bend, the son of Randolph "Randy" and Jessica (Schmidt) Trapp.
Travis just finished his junior year at Kewaskum High School. In high school he served as the parliamentarian of the FFA Club and was a member and secretary of the trap shooting team. Travis was also a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum.
Travis will fondly be remembered for his love of the outdoors and as a hard worker. He was holding down three jobs and hoped to buy a truck by the end of summer. He will be deeply missed by his parents, his sister, other family members and by all who were touched by him.
Those Travis leaves behind to cherish his memory include his parents, Randy and Jessica Trapp of Cascade; his sister, Ashley at home; his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Phyllis Schmidt of Kewaskum; special grandparents, Vernon "Smokey" and Jean Rauch of Kohlsville; his uncles, Christopher (Leslie) Schmidt and their children, Mikayla, Brady, Cutler and Chandler; Christopher (Michelle) Trapp and their son, Eric; his great-grandmother, Shirley Butzke of Campbellsport, other relatives and many friends.
Travis was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Charles and Clara Trapp, Sylvester and Ione Schmidt, Arthur and Alida Gierach.
Funeral services for Travis were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Rev. Timothy Henning officiated and burial was in Lutheran Memorial Park in Kewaskum.
The Trapp family greeted relatives and friends on Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Kewaskum High School in Kewaskum from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m and at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Travis' arrangements.
