Verna R. Ciriacks, nee Hage, 89, a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Kathy Hospice.
She was born October 2, 1918 in Alden, Illinois to the late William and Laura (nee Buettner) Hage. After her marriage to Lester "Pete" Ciriacks on December 30, 1945 at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Alden, Illinois, the couple resided in and around West Bend.
She is survived by three children, Christine (John Davis) Ciriacks of Calistoga, California, Kathleen (Jim) Konen of Casper, Wyoming, and Peter (Lynne Gingerich) Ciriacks of Tucson, Arizona; a granddaughter, Renee (Paul) Bong of Lomira; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Ashley Bong of Lomira; a sister, Elaine (Bill) Fischer of Trevor; a brother, Richard Hage of Escondito, California; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester "Pete" Ciriacks, two sisters, Louise Gruell and Irma Gruell, and two brothers, Arthur Hage and Kenneth Hage.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. Rev. George Mumm will officiate and burial will follow in Newark Cemetery in the town of Barton. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
