Vernon C. Krueger, 92, of Lomira, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira.
He was born on December 18, 1919, the son of the late William and Wilhemina (Enderle) Krueger, and on May 19, 1945, he was united in marriage to Eleanor Nagel. Eleanor preceded Vernon in death on March 19, 2007.
Vernon was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lomira. Vernon and Eleanor were caretakers of the church and cemetery. Vernon’s favorite pastime was fishing.
Those Vernon leaves behind to cherish his memory include a brother, Richard Krueger of West Bend; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Grube of Auburndale and Bernice Krueger of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Vernon was preceded in death by brother, Norman Krueger.
Funeral services for Vernon were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lomira. Rev. Dan Schmidt officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of services.
