Vernon Morris

February 6, 1913 — February 25, 2011

Vernon E. Morris, age 98 of Menomonee Falls, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in the town of West Bend.

Vernon was born on February 6, 1913 in Richland County, WI to the late Virgil and Bonnie (nee Hamilton) Morris. On January 20, 1935, Vernon was united in marriage to Margaret Crabtree in Fort Atkinson, WI.

Vernon and his family lived in Wauwatosa when he worked for Cutler-Hammer Corporation from 1935 until he retired in 1978. At that time, he and his wife, Margaret, moved to Sedona, AZ. Margaret preceded him in death on August 2, 2000. In 2004, Vernon moved back to Wisconsin.

He was a Master Mason in the Masonic Order and member of West Allis Lodge #291 and Central Arizona Lodge #32, the Scottish Rite Valley of Milwaukee and Tripoli Shrine. He was a member and Past President of the Arizona Bola Tie Society and was the Chaplain of the Sons of the American Revolution for the Verde Valley Chapter.

He is survived by his three daughters, Barbara (Robert) Dahl of Bunceton, MO, Kathryn (William) Stonecipher of West Bend, and Lynne (Thomas) Keasling of Corydon, IN; four grandchildren, Scott (Lori) Stonecipher, Krista (Josh) Jeppsen, Karl Dahl and Jennifer (Jon) Brink; four great-grandchildren, Erin Stonecipher, Erik Stonecipher, Sean Brink and Elena Brink; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service in remembrance of Vernon will be announced at a later date.
