Victor G. Serwe Sr., 75, of Ashford, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.
Victor was born on February 23, 1943, in Lomira, the son of the late Arthur and Louise (nee Keller) Serwe. On August 18, 1971, he was united in marriage to Janice Bruesch in Juneau. Janice preceded Victor in death on April 9, 2005.
Victor farmed in the town of Ashford, was a proud driver for Johnson Bus Company, and worked for Seneca Foods. He was an avid football player in high school, horseshoes, playing pool, and enjoyed bowling. Victor loved watching sports on TV. He enjoyed gardening and growing anything.
Survived by two children, Jacqueline Bachara and Victor Serwe Jr.; two grandchildren, Victoria and Peter Jr. Bachara; two great-grandchildren, Calvin and Christopher; two brothers, Harvey (Mary) Serwe and Allen (Sherry) Serwe; a sister, Arlene Serwe; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice.
Victor’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Myrhum Patten Miller and Kietzer Funeral Home, 350 Main Street, in Lomira on Sunday, October 21, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until services at Noon. Rev. Rom Pegram will officiate and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
