Virginia M. Buettner, nee Knepprath, age 77, of West Bend, passed away peacefully in her sleep and joined her beloved husband, Wolf, on October 22, 2012 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
She was born on February 23, 1935 to the late Henry and Emma (nee Weidmeyer) Knepprath. Virginia worked at Doerr Electric Motors before her marriage to Wolf Buettner on May 18, 1957 at St. John's Church in Newburg. Wolf passed away on January 20, 1991. In 1994, Virginia began working at the Threshold, where she continued to work until her retirement.
Virginia is survived by her sister-in-law, Evelyn Knepprath of Boltonville; her adopted family, Dawn and Steve Goralski of West Bend, and their children, Stephen (Karli) Goralski of Slinger, Krystal (Thomas) DeBaker of Racine, and Ryne Goralski of Kenosha; additional extended family, including nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wolf; her son, David William Buettner; and three brothers, Alfred Knepprath, Willard Knepprath and Robert Knepprath.
Funeral services in remembrance of Virginia will be held on Sunday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St. West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
