Virginia "Ginny" Ehmke, (nee Wiedenhoeft), age 93, of Cedar Community, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Cedar Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center in West Bend.
She was born on October 21, 1915 in Milwaukee to the late Alfred and Wilhelmine "Minnie" (nee Monk) Wiedenhoeft. Ginny graduated from North Division High School in the class of 1932.
On April 23, 1938 she was united in marriage to Raymond Ehmke in Milwaukee. Their first date was at their high school senior play. They lived in Slinger until moving to Cedar Community in 1985. Ginny was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting, and scrap booking her travels with her husband Raymond.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Ehmke of Menomonee Falls; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her daughter, Susan Haldane in 2004; and her infant son, Kris.
A Memorial Service in remembrance of Ginny will be held on Sunday, August 30th at 4:00 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington Street) West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.
