Virginia A. Weyres

Virginia A. Weyres, 87, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2012, at Carolwoods Health Center in Chapel Hill.


She was born on January 28, 1925, in Racine, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ida (Behrens) Weyres.


Virginia spent her entire career with the U.S. State Department in various foreign posts.


Those Virginia leaves behind to cherish her memory include a brother, Walter Weyres of Washington D.C.; a sister, Lucille (Jack) Schofield of Florida; a brother-in-law, Gerald Stoffel of Kewaskum; a sister-in-law, Barbara Weyres of Florida, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Stoffel and a brother, Robert Weyres.


A Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia was held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church in West Bend, with Father John Radetski officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in West Bend and a time of fellowship in the church hall followed the burial.


Memorials to Catholic Relief Services are appreciated.


The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Virginia’s arrangements.
