Vivian M. Prochnow, nee Tschetter, 84, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008 at her residence.
She was born on November 11, 1923 in Freeman, South Dakota to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Kleinsasser) Tschetter. She was united in marriage to Edward A. Prochnow on October 31, 1942 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Edward passed away on July 2, 1997.
Vivian was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend, and was an active member of the Ladies Aid for many years. She had a special innocence and a warm, loving heart. She enjoyed life and time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Joal (Elke) Prochnow and Allen (Gabriele) Prochnow; six grandchildren, Heidi (fiancAC. Dan Seliger) Prochnow, Edward Prochnow, Jeffrey (Starr) Prochnow, Brian Prochnow, Adam VanderVeen, and Alex VanderVeen; four great-grandchildren, Grace, Jackson, Harrison, and Edward; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend, on Wednesday, April 30th from 4:00 p.m. until the time of a prayer vigil at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 809 S. 6th Ave., West Bend (Please meet at the church). Rev. Jeff Dorth will officiate and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
