Wallace G. Wilson, age 80, of Cedar Ridge in West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2006.

He was born on March 18, 1925 in Duluth, MN to the late Clyde and Alvilda (nee Stensrud) Wilson. During World War II, he served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He was united in marriage to Dorothy A. Johnson on September 19, 1947 in his hometown of Duluth, MN.

He worked as a Lab Technician at A.O. Smith and aided in the development of the first prototype of compactable automobile bumpers. Cars were his passion and he loved golfing in the summer and bowling in the winter with his buddies.

Wallace was a former member of the West Bend Masonic Lodge #138 F & AM and served as a past Worshipful Master. He later became a member of the Tripoli Shrine. Wallace will be lovingly remembered as a kind man who always put his family and others above himself.

Wallace is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy; his three daughters, Janet (Joseph) Kelly of Atlanta GA, Vicki Wilson of West Bend, and Claudia Hahn of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren, Kristen (Kevin) Carruth of Hiram, GA, Julie Kelly of Atlanta, GA, Jason Kelly of Kennesaw, GA, Eric Reichert of West Bend, and Courtney Hahn of Dallas, TX; a great-granddaughter, Kaylyn Carruth of Hiram, GA; a sister, Ilene Joyce Birr of West Bend; a brother, Fulton Wilson of Duluth, MN; his buddy, Pepper the Poodle; and other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Scott Reichert; and two brothers, Jack and Vern Wilson.

A memorial service in celebration of Wallace's life will be held on his birthday, Saturday, March 18, 2006, at 4:00 pm at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service of West Bend. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm. Inurnment of the cremated remains will be in Washington County Memorial Park later this spring.
