Walter S. Miecielica

Walter S. Miecielica, age 81, of West Bend, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at The Wisconsin Heart Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

He was born on May 17, 1927 in Montague, Massachusetts to the late Walter and Victoria (nee Galek) Miecielica. Following high school Walter served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy during WWII. Upon returning from war Walter began working as a hospital chef for the State of Rhode Island. He was employed there for 31 years before moving to Cape Coral, Florida in 1979. While living in Florida, Walter worked for 12 years for the City of Cape Coral Public Works Department before retiring in 1994. In 1998 Walter moved to West Bend to be closer to his children and grandchildren.

Walter is survived by his loving wife, Joyce M. Walters of West Bend; his three children, Mark Miecielica of Block Island, Rhode Island, Karl Miecielica of Marathon Shores, Florida, and John Miecielica of West Bend, Wisconsin; and five step-children, Caryn Jenkins of Phoenix, Arizona, Wayne Lemoi of Marietta, Georgia, Jayne Miecielica of West Bend, Wisconsin, Sheryl Carpetis of Cranberry Twp, Pennsylvania, and Kyle Lemoi, of Sacramento, California. He is further survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

In accordance with Walter's wishes a private family service has been held.
