Wanda L. Hadler, nee Cross, 73, of West Bend, died Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at the Hartford Care Center.
She was born August 23, 1931 in Morning View, KY to the late Albert and Evelyn (nee Cornelius) Cross. She married Howard D. Hadler on Dec. 19, 1954 in Rantoul, IL.
The couple moved from Illinois to West Bend in 1984. Wanda worked part-time as a receptionist at the Kettle Moraine YMCA in West Bend for 14 years. She also volunteered at Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church and the Washington County Historical Society.
She is survived by her husband, Howard; three children, Dale Hadler of New Brighton, MN, Lisa Hadler of Ottawa, IL, and Laurie Hadler of Rockford, IL; a sister Irene Ackman of Independence, KY; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Rita, and three brothers, Albert, James, and Edward.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church, West Bend. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
