Wilda "Louise" (Seder) Thorin

Wilda “Louise” Thorin (nee Seder), 77, of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born on September 1, 1946, to the late Richard and Garnetta “June” (nee Goodwin) Seder in Milwaukee, WI.

On July 11, 1964, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Terry Thorin in Escanaba, MI. She initially raised their two boys as a young mother. Once the boys were in school, Louise worked various jobs over the years, primarily in the banking industry. She found her true calling later in life by going to college and ultimately receiving her Master’s Degree in psychotherapy. Louise loved collecting recipes so that she could entertain and share with others. Most of all, Louise enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and all her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Those Louise leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two children, Mike (Michele) Thorin and Chris Thorin; five grandchildren, Andrew (Stacy) Thorin, Chad Cizek, Cole Thorin, Amanda Gamsky, and Amy Thorin; six great-grandchildren, Anikka, Gunnar, Nova, Dane, Dax, and Marcella; three sisters, Kathy (Ron) Schneider, Elizabeth Parker, and Merry Sebelik; sister-in-law, Suki Seder; a brother-in-law, Jon Thorin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Thorin; a brother, Richard Seder; and a sister, Patricia Johnson.

VISITATION: Louise’s family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Lutheran Church of the Living Christ (W156 N10660 Pilgrim Rd., Germantown) from 3:00 p.m., until 4:45 p.m.

SERVICE: A funeral service for Louise’s incredible life will follow the visitation at the church, starting at 5:00 p.m.
