William L. “Bill” Coogan, 53, of the town of Scott, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at his home after a short illness.
He was born on September 11, 1954, in Austin, Minnesota, the son of the late Carleton and Myrtle (Keyser) Coogan and on April 10, 1999, he was united in marriage to Debra Dressel in Fond du Lac.
Bill served his country in the U. S. Navy and was employed by Woodlore, Inc. in Port Washington. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan all of his life and he enjoyed hunting and woodworking.
Survivors include his loving wife, Debra; four sisters, Carliene Pickett of Cedarburg and her daughter, Danita (John) Zahares and their children, Samantha, Matt and Mike; Jean (Dale) Heath of Kodiak, Alaska; Doriene Coogan and her children, Christine, Jack and Mike and Jan (Tom) Simmons of Altoona and their children, Phillep (Kaelyn) Coogan, Denny (See) Coogan and Juliene Coogan, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded by a nephew, Scott Pickett.
Cremation has taken place. A private gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
