William “Bill” Loehrer III, age 66, of West Bend, passed away Saturday October 24, 2015 at The Pavilion at Glacier Valley in Slinger.
He was born on August 25, 1949 in Elkhorn to the late Robert and Blanche (nee Kec) Loehrer. Bill was raised in Chicago and spent his summers at the family cottage on Lake Como in Walworth County. On January 22, 1972 Bill was united in marriage to Barbara Grams.
Bill was formerly a systems analyst for Cleaver – Brooks until his retirement in 2013. In his younger years he captained “The Lady of the Lake” on Lake Geneva.
He was a member of the West Bend Masonic Lodge #138 F. & A.M. Bill enjoyed sailing on Lake Michigan. He also was a big civil war and history buff.
Those Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Barbara; sister, Shirlee Bahn of Delevan; three brothers-in-law, Paul Rizzo of Delevan, Dennis “Ben” (Leanne) Grams of Darien, and Michael (Judy) Grams of Bluffton, SC; three nieces, Pam (CD) Alderson, Nicki Faul, and Christi (Jim) Tarantino; nephew, Paul (Kathy) Rizzo Jr.; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Blanche; sister, Bunny Rizzo, and a brother Robert Loehrer.
Masonic services in remembrance of Bill will be held on Saturday October 31st at 4:00 pm at the Myrhum – Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St.) West Bend. Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
Memorials to the West Bend Masonic Lodge or The Kathy Hospice are appreciated.
