William S. Pohoski, 71, of Lomira, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2009, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
He was born on December 20, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Stanley and Irene (Gregory) Pohoski. On December 13, 1958, he was united in marriage to Claire Taylor and she preceded him in death on May 22, 1977. On April 20, 1980, he was united in marriage to Lillian Jones and she preceded him death on August 14, 1995.
William served with the U.S. Army from 1955 until 1958.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra (Anthony) Skilling of Lomira and a son, William A. Pohoski of Chicago, Ill.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Buchanan and a sister, Pat Pohoski.
A Memorial Service for William with Military Honors was held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira. Father Edwin Kornath officiated. Cremation has taken place.
The family received visitors on Wednesday at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until the time of services.
