William B. "Bill" Volkmann, age 84, of Slinger, passed away Monday May 11, 2015 at the Pavilion at Glacier Valley in Slinger. He was born on February 1, 1931 in Milwaukee to the late Willy and Johanna Volkmann. Bill attended Marquette University High School graduating in the class of 1949. He then attended Marquette University graduating in 1953 with a business degree in accounting. On September 4, 1964 Bill was united in marriage to Jerelyn in Milwaukee. In 1965 they moved to the Slinger area and raised their family. Bill worked as a CPA for Conley - McDonald Accounting Firm until his retirement in 1996.During his retirement he volunteered for AARP Tax aid in the Slinger and Hartford areas. Bill was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Slinger, and served on the church council for several years. He served as a director of the Metal Ware Corporation in Two Rivers. Bill enjoyed going to the gym at the Hartford Rec. Center and having breakfast with his friends afterward. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, and reading. He is survived by his wife, Jerelyn; two children, James and his wife Stephanie, Vicki and her husband Dorian; six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Katarina, Victoria, Eric, Seth, and Kai; a sister-in-law, Jolene; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by a sister Judy. Funeral services in remembrance of Bill will be held on Saturday May 23rd at 3:00 pm at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church (799 St. Paul Dr.) Slinger. Rev. James Castillo will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 12:00 (noon) until the time of service. A luncheon will follow the service. Burial will be Tuesday in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Memorials to St. Paul Church or the charity of your choice are appreciated.
