Yvonne B. Minz, (nee Langlais), age 76, of Kiel, formerly of West Bend, died Saturday October 1, 2005 at Calumet Homestead in New Holstein.
She was born on May 12, 1929 in Cedarburg to the late Orain and Blanche (nee Holmes) Langlais, and was united in marriage to Arthur "Artie" Minz on September 28, 1946 in Cedarburg.
Yvonne worked at Mies Products in West Bend for many years and helped her husband for 50 years with his country band. They moved to Kiel in 1992, and Artie preceded her in death in 1998.
Yvonne was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a fantastic homemaker, and also enjoyed working in her yard and with her flowers. She always was there to help and take care of others. She loved all kinds of music, and all animals were her friend.
She is survived by three children, Michelle (Gilbert) Kaat of School Hill, Arthur Minz Jr. of Kiel, and Michael (Sharry) Minz of West Bend; 16 grandchildren, Roberta Jo (Josh) Stahl, Patricia (James) Tarnowski, Kari Zallar, Stacy (David) Engelson, Kathryn (Steven) Popovich, Bruce Olsen, Charles Kee, Gib Kaat Jr., Melissa Torstenson, Christopher Minz, Stephanie Minz, Timothy Minz, Joshua Minz, Melisha Davis, Shannon (Craig) Enson, and Jason Davis; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Miller and Elaine (Arnold) Miller both of Saukville, a brother Keith (Nancy) Langlais of Peoria, AZ; three sisters-in-law, Betty Langlais of Grafton, Catherine (Ted) Glass of Washington, and Adeline (Howard) Dryer of California; two brothers-in-law, Carl (May) Minz of Oregon, and Joseph (Marie) Minz of Kewaskum; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister Joann, a sister and her husband Karen & Elmer Pietzmeyer, a brother Gary Langlais, and a sister-in-law and her husband Rose & John Chiswell, and a brother-in-law Paul Miller.
Funeral services for Yvonne will be held on Saturday October 8th at 2:30 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Dan Schroeder, Pastoral Assistant of St Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 (noon) until the time of service. Cremation will follow at Myrhum ~ Patten funeral & Cremation Service, and burial of her cremated remains will be on Sunday at 1:00 pm in Newark Cemetery, West Bend.
