Zachary K. "Zach" Stoffel

May 23, 1955 — November 11, 2014

Zachary K. "Zach" Stoffel, 59, of the town of Kewaskum, passed away with his family at his side on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk, following a hopeful courageous fight with cancer.

He was born on May 23, 1955, in West Bend, the son of Alan and Margaret "Peggy" (Wink) Stoffel, and on August 13, 1977, he was united in marriage to Joan Berndt at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in West Bend.

Zach was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. He was the caretaker and sexton of Holy Trinity Cemetery for many years. Zach enjoyed riding his Harley on long and short trips and annual outings with his buddies. He was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather, a dear brother and a good friend to many. Zach will be missed more than words can say but we know he is walking hand and hand and riding John Deere tractors with Isaiah.

Those Zach leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Joan; three children, Rebecca (John) Van Beek of Campbellsport, Jacob (Sarah Cole) Stoffel of Richfield and Owen (Meg) Stoffel of Germantown; his parents, Alan and Peggy Stoffel of Kewaskum; four grandchildren, Zachary, McKenzie and Elijah Van Beek, Jackson Cole Stoffel and a grandbaby due in March; his brothers and sisters, Michael (Genny) Stoffel of Madison, Neal (Denise) Stoffel of Ashford, Paul (Jo) Stoffel of Madison, Philip (Janis) Stoffel of Kewaskum, Therese (Dale) Schloemer of West Bend, Chris (Lisa) Stoffel of Kewaskum and Sara Konkel of Delavan; his mother and father-in-law, Janis and Herman Berndt of West Bend; a brother-in-law, David Berndt (special friend, Vickie) of West Bend; a sister-in-law, Diane (James) Meach of New Berlin, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Waiting to see his Grandpa Zach again in heaven is his grandson, Isaiah Van Beek.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Zach was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial followed in the parish cemetery.
