Marilyn A. Jung, 72, of the town of Kewaskum, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum.
She was born on April 12, 1936, in the town of Farmington, the daughter of Lawrence H. and Marie (Uelmen) Laatsch, and on September 15, 1962, she was united in marriage to David Jung at St. John of God Catholic Church in the town of Farmington.
Marilyn was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels. She was a devoted wife and mother. She will fondly be remembered for her love of animals and the care she provided to them. Marilyn operated the family farm and enjoyed gardening, polka dancing and sports, especially watching the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and auto racing. She will be deeply missed by her husband, her family and by all who knew her.
Survivors include her loving husband, David; four children, Daniel (Jeanette) Jung of the town of Kewaskum, Joan Jung (Jane Bettner) of Madison, Brian Jung (friend, Beth) of Cascade and Laura (Tom) Boden of Hartford; her mother, Marie Laatsch of Boltonville; her mother-in-law, Margaret Jung of Kewaskum; her brothers and sisters, Myrna Laatsch and Donald Laatsch both of Boltonville, Eugene (Bette) Laatsch of Phoenix, Arizona, Eileen (Gerald) Yearling of Boltonville, Merle Laatsch of New Fane, Karen Radtke of West Bend, Ruth (Edwin) Boomer of Kewaskum, Carolyn (Walter) Landvatter of West Bend, Shirley (Mike) Ryan of Port Washington and Leon (Chris) Laatsch of Hartford; two sisters-in-law, Mary Laatsch of Kewaskum and Marlene (John) Klahn of the town of Scott; three grandchildren, Adam Jung (special friend, April Lettow), Alyssa Jung and Brianna Jung, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence; her father-in-law, Norbert Jung; a sister-in-law, Barbara Laatsch and a brother, Lloyd Laatsch.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Marilyn was held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 8881 Forestview Road, Kewaskum (St. Michaels). Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Monday in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called on Sunday at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
