Ruth Marie Fettig

Ruth M. Fettig (nee Wenger), age 70 years, of West Bend, formerly of Iron Ridge was called home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Ruth was born on November 18, 1951 in Hartford to the late Jacob and Martha Wenger (Urfer).  She was united in marriage to David S. Fettig on February 8, 1969 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend.

Ruth graduated from Hartford High School.  Ruth and David lived in the town of Hubbard for 49 years and farmed their land.  Ruth also worked for John Deere in Horicon.

Those Ruth leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 53 years, David; two children, David (friend Nickie) Fettig and Jacqueline (Steve) Manske; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Miranda, Megan, Matthew, Elaine, Michael, and Nathan; and five great-grandchildren, Roman, Adeline, Lyric, Layton, and Ariya.

Ruth is further survived by her siblings, Martha (Leonard) Wantz, Kathy (friend Tom) Rahn, Walter (the late Sarah) Wenger, John (Lori) Wenger, and Connie (Al) Richert; mother-in-law, Pauline (the late George) Fettig (nee Heilman); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cleo (the late George) Fettig, Bernie (the late David) Alliet, Shirley (the late Daniel) Rozek; Randy (Kathy) Fettig, Jerome (Dana) Fettig, and the late Raymond Fettig; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

As per Ruth’s wishes, no services will be held.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Horizon Hospice for their care and compassion.
